About the Opportunity

Based at the North Ryde office, we are seeking an exceptionally driven, self-motivated Demand Planning Specialist to join the Australian Supply Chain team. In this pivotal role, you will have a visible impact on sales performance by ensuring product availability at the right quantity and right time, optimizing inventory levels, and minimizing supply chain disruptions in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities & Impact

  • Drive the Australian Sales & Operations Planning cycle. Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to challenge, validate, and align short- and long-term forecasts using statistical tools and retail trade insights.
  • Maintain and upload accurate demand plans into the SAP IBP system weekly to ensure replenishment arrives on time and in full.
  • Evaluate short-term demand fluctuations, communicate promptly with Supply Planners, and refine baseline forecast models to capture market changes.
  • Lead regular deep dives into account-level forecast hits/misses alongside sales teams, driving continuous improvements in forecast accuracy.
  • Keep inventory levels healthy by managing safety stock, analyzing lead times, minimizing excess stock, and driving active depletion strategies.
  • Manage phase-in and phase-out plans (initial demand and last-time buys) in tandem with Commercial teams, ensuring local master data creation and updates are accurate.
  • Partner with Supply and Shipping teams to track inbound orders, prepare weekly reporting (stock and supply status), and act with urgency to solve supply bottlenecks.

To be successful in this high-volume, dynamic role, you will bring:

  • 3-5 years of proven experience within Demand Planning and Supply Chain Management operations (Must-have).
  • Deep, hands-on experience using SAP and SAP IBP (Must-have).
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Must-have), particularly in Excel-driven data modeling.
  • A relevant University Degree (strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated success operating in a high-demand, fast-paced retail or consumer goods (FMCG/Consumer Electronics) environment.
  • Strong analytical capability with a keen eye for identifying data discrepancies and process gaps.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills to influence cross-functional teams and lead consensus-building.
